Hey! I'm Jacey :)
Where it all started
I first had an interest in photography when I was in high school. I would borrow my sister’s digital camera and force my friends and family to participate in all sorts of photo sessions. Thankfully, I have grown in maturity and skill and no longer need to coerce anyone to participate in my photoshoots!
Journalism Background
In 2018, I attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology to complete the Journalism program. Throughout my schooling, I learned the basics of photography and more about photojournalism. Some of my favourite assignments were attending rallies/protests, concerts, and other live events. I loved capturing the intense emotions and energy in these types of settings.
Where we are now
After I graduated in 2020, I shifted my photography portfolio to focus on families, weddings, couples, and engagement sessions. I am able to use my experience in photojournalism to give a lifestyle touch to my sessions. In each session, I aim to tell a story, while still giving you some classic shots to share in cards and pictures on the wall.
More about me
I grew up in a large family, with four brothers and six sisters. I was number 9 in the family line, and it was a blast having so many ready-made friends. To this day, my siblings are some of my best friends, and get-togethers continue to get bigger as all of our own families grow. Christmas with 40+ people is a blast :P
My husband and I married in 2018, and we spent the first few years of marriage going to school, saving for our first home, renovating it, and enjoying the thrills of camping, motorcycles, and hanging with our families. Life has slowed down as we welcomed a baby girl in the summer of 2025. Being a mom is the best, and we are loving our life with our newest addition.
Next Steps
I am always happy to offer the best tips and tricks for photo sessions. Shoot me a message with any questions. Looking forward to getting to know you during our session!
